Enhancements to MET’s Deterministic CCI Testing Capabilities.

By M.Turner

We have recently added a new vacuum / pressure decay integrity tester to increase capacity in our combinations testing department for USP 1207 testing. This gives us further deterministic testing capability and allows multiple methods to be employed on ‘difficult to test’ combination devices.

Our leak and closed container integrity test services are applicable to anything in a non-permeable foil package, most dosage forms in sealed packaging, pre-filled syringes and a wide variety of medical devices.

Techniques available in our laboratory include:

  • Pressure decay
  • Vacuum decay
  • Hydrogen trace gas
  • Compression tests
  • Dye penetration
  • Bubble emission

All of our integrity tests can be combined with stability studies, transit simulation and product performance studies.
